Wonderland of Lights
Now through Dec. 31.
Thousands of lights create extraordinary animal exhibits and holiday displays at the 23rd annual Wonderland of Lights. There will be cookies, crafts and animal encounters for the kids to enjoy.
Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $5 for kids 3-12 and free for kids under 3.
Lansing Art Gallery 2017 Holiday Exhibition
Now through Dec. 23
Support local artists this giving season by shopping from a curated selection of contemporary fine art and modern craft from over 100 Michigan makers!
Cocoa and Classics
Dec. 17, 3-5 p.m.
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum will host an art and crafts event, complete with hot cocoa and live holiday music performed by Verdant Winds. The cast of the Capital Ballet Theatre’s production of "The Nutcracker" will also be present.
Lansing Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving Day, 7:30 a.m.
This 5k event supports youth running in Michigan. Now in its 17th year, the course will pass through downtown Lansing, passing the State Capitol Christmas tree.
Race day registration is $30 and packet pickup starts at 7:30 a.m. in the new LCC Commons on the first floor.
Mason
Mason Holidays Celebration
Friday, 4 p.m.
Mason's 17th annual lighted parade will start at Bond Park at 6:15 p.m., just after the tree lighting ceremony with Mason High School Bulldog's Santa Band at 6 p.m. The winner of the fifth grade poster contest will give the command to light the tree.
Santa will be at the Mason Historical Museum from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in addition to the parade, where Marines will be at the collecting unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots.
Grand Ledge
Night Lights Christmas Parade
Dec. 1, 7 p.m.
Boundless family entertainment to kick off the holiday season with a Lighted Float Parade starting at the fire barn going across the bridge, and ending with Santa at the Sun Theater.
Okemos
Christmas in the Village
Dec. 10. 2-4 p.m.
Join Santa and friends for an old-fashioned Christmas in the Village, where historic buildings will be open and decorated for the holidays and volunteers in period dress will share their Christmas traditions from days past.
