WESTLAND – Dozens of kids got down and dirty to cool off Tuesday at the annual Mud Day in Wayne County.Â
Parks officials transformed a popular play area into a 150-foot by 75-foot mud pit at the Hines Park-Nankin Mills Area in Westland.
Children 12 and younger were able to splash around in the pit while participating in mud limbo, wheelbarrow races and other free activities.
Hoses and plastic bags were provided for dirty clothes.
