The nail polish that I had on lasted longer than most nail polishes I have used before. It didn’t start chipping as quickly as most nail polishes would, and for the most part, it started to look bad because my nails were growing out, not because the polish wasn’t lasting.
The tips did start chipping, but it wasn’t horrible, and the amount of typing that I do could be to blame for that, because it held up well otherwise. Since it was only two layers and there wasn’t a top coat, I think it held up well.
Of course, that makes it not true shellac in my mind, but for the price, I would use it again. Also, shellac wouldn’t chip.
I got my nails done with shellac at a nail salon right after I was done with this product testing. While it didn’t chip, it started peeling off after about a week and a half.
I had it on for a week and a half as opposed to the two weeks that I wore the nail polish from the testing.
If I had to choose regular nail polish or the do-it-yourself shellac when doing my own nails, I would pick the shellac because it went on my nails better, was more even and held up pretty well with everything I was doing.
