The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of some upholstered toddler chairs. These chairs are big and plush, and were sold at Amazon.com, Babies.RUs.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, and Seussland.com, as well as in Buy Buy Buy and other specialty stores.
Trend Lab LLC of Minnesota imported the furniture from China. The commission issued a press release, stating, "staples in the binding on the back of the chair may come loose, posing a laceration or choking hazard if swallowed."

The Mod and Club style chairs produced from October of 2007 until August 2012 those being targeted for recall, says the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The commission says Items included in the recall were purchased between November 2007 and August 2012.
According to the commission, affected chairs were sold with matching ottomans. However, neither the ottomans, nor new chairs with "Remedy 2012" stamped in ink on the bottom side of the chair, are part of the recall, says the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
"Consumers should immediately take the chair away from children and inspect the binding," says the commission.
The commission also says consumers can contact Trend Lab LLC for a repair kit with instructions.
