DETROIT – Fresh off of being named a finalist on NBC's "The Voice," Ann Arbor native Laith Al-Saadi is slated to perform for the first time locally at GM River Days in June.
The blues rocker placed fourth in the televised singing competition.

Al-Saadi will join other national and legendary artists on the Quicken Loans National Stage, including the B-52s, SWV, Patti LaBelle, Jeffrey Osborne and Mint Condition. Many local favorites as well as new acts will return to the Michigan Lottery Stage and Chevrolet Stage featuring a mix of rock, pop, blues, alternative, soul and indie rock.
GM River Days performances are free with admission to the festival.

Flagstar Bank Kids Zone
Located at Rivard Plaza, the Flagstar Bank Kids Zone will be bigger and better than ever, including the chance for kids to help color a larger-than-life “Monster Mural” celebrating the 10th birthday of GM River Days and participate in a Kids Zone Celebration Parade during each day of the festival. Produced by The Parade Company, this year’s Kids Zone also features face painting, recyclable crafts with Arts & Scraps, Sand and Spin Art and much more. The Meijer Kids Stage will feature fun and educational entertainment, including Story time, magic with Dyna-Mike, fun with the Michigan Science Center and Animal Magic wildlife shows. All activities are free in the Kids Zone - parents just need to pick up a free sticker from the Flagstar Bank booth at the festival.
