2 men killed, 5 injured overnight in Detroit shootings

DETROIT – In five separate incidents around Detroit, two men were killed and five were injured due to shootings.

A 46-year-old man was shot while sitting in his vehicle with his wife in the parking lot of Wagon Train Market on Warren Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Two men dressed in all black with their faces covered attempted to rob them. The man was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

A 35-year-old man was grazed by a bullet while he sat in his car in the parking lot of a liquor store on the 3800 block of 6 Mile Road around 11 p.m. Friday. A fight had broken out between four people and shots were fired. The man was taken to the hospital and has since been released.

A 27-year-old man was killed and another 27-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting in the parking lot of Hot Tamales Adult Entertainment on 8 Mile Road around 1 a.m. Saturday.

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed on the 14000 block of McNichols Road around 2 a.m. Witnesses say a man approached the victim and pointed a gun, saying, "Give me everything." The victim pulled out a gun, but it jammed and he was shot several times.

A 43-year-old man and a 21-year-old man are in stable condition after they were both shot in the area of Michigan Avenue and Junction Street. Police believe they were at an after-hours party where a fight broke out.

No one was taken into custody in any of the five incidents.
