DETROIT – What was supposed to be a celebration of a woman's life turned into a violent shooting Monday night outside a home near Lauder and Belton streets on Detroit's west side.
Detroit police said people were gathering outside the home after a funeral. About 150-200 people were celebrating the woman's life when an argument erupted. Shots were fired.
Three people were struck by the bullets. One man was shot in his leg. Another man was shot in the torso. A third person also was shot, but it's unclear where. All three shooting victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
