WESTLAND, Mich. – Three people have been charged in connection to a Westland shooting that left two people dead, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worth announced Thursday.
Dominik Charleston, 19, of Taylor, Kobi Taylor, 19, homeless, and Amber Marie Tackett, 17, of Taylor, are charged with killing Howard Wick and Jordan Bradley in Westland.
Police said they found the victims' bodies at 2:28 a.m. Monday near Treadwell and Noreen streets. Police said the victims are 19 and 35 years old. One of the victims was found dead at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Police said they believe the shooting was drug-related. Officers found a bag of drugs at the scene and believe it could have been a drug deal.
"Upon checking further evidence in the area, we have discovered that it's most likely a drug-related incident, so we want people to know that this doesn't appear to be some random act, and that the neighborhood is as safe at it can be right now," Sgt. Robert Wilke said.
Charleston is charged with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of armed robbery and two counts of felony firearm.
Taylor and Tackett are charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of armed robbery Taylor is charged with two counts of felony firearm and Tackett is charged with one count of felony firearm.
The teens were arraigned Thursday at the 18th District Court in Westland.
