Watch a video of the puppy, named Amari, below.

The pitbull mix stumbled out of a wooded area with severe injuries and was picked up by two good Samaritans.

Amari had a surgery Thursday to close a wound on her head and another surgery Friday to close a wound on the side of her neck. According to A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue, which took her to get veterinary care after she was found, both surgeries went well.

Donations to help care for Amari can be made here.

Despite her injuries and long road to recovery, Amari is wagging her tail and is in good spirits, according to the rescue.

*AMARI UPDATE!* Tonight our Director had the pleasure of spending time with Amari at OVRS. As you can see in the below video she is moving around well and is full of great spirits. Today she had the wound on the top of her head closed and tomorrow she will be enduring a long surgery to close the large wounds on the side of her neck. Please say a prayer for a successful surgery. Amari asked us to say THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far towards her care. If it wasn't for our supporters like you; this girl may not have been with us today. Unfortunately, we still have not hit our goal for her current vet bill. We do not want to have to deny another dog the medical care they need due to lack of funds; so PLEASE consider donating. https://www.youcaring.com/ActionForAmari Check back on our page tomorrow to hear how her surgery went! Paws crossed!
