Lockdown lifted at Ann Arbor Huron High School

Police searched building after report of suspicious person

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – After reports of an unknown subject wearing a hooded sweatshirt and possibly a mask, Ann Arbor Huron High School was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon.

That lockdown since has been lifted, according to Ann Arbor Public Schools. The district posted this to its Facebook page:

It's all clear at Huron High School following a lock-down today RE a suspicious person. Police are still there, but again: All clear

There were no reports of that subject being armed with a weapon. Police said it was not clear if this is anything serious. They think this could be part of some kind of senior prank.

Officers were searching the building, going room-to-room looking for the person.

University of Michigan Public Safety and Pittsfield Township police officers have been assisting.
