BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – Batman versus Superman? They were no match for an angry mom at a Kroger store in Bloomfield Township.
Police said the mom “drop kicked” a custom-made birthday cake that featured the superheroes on June 11 after becoming upset over the design.

A store manager told police the mom was upset because employees refused to allow her behind the bakery counter to change the design. Infuriated, allegedly, she took the cake to the front of the store and kicked it.
“The action caused pieces of cake and frosting to be strewn about the bakery section of the store. The woman quickly left the store, kicking over a wet floor sign on her way out,” according to a police report.
Her name and phone number was on file with the store since the cake was a special order. Police said they talked to the mom, and she admitted to being upset over the design, but denied kicking the cake.
Witnesses, however, said the mom threw the cake on the ground and stepped on it several times and yelled, “They f***ing ruined my 7-year-old’s birthday cake.”
The store does not have video of the incident, police said.
