Chief Meteorologist Ben Bailey brings you the weather forecast weekdays on Local 4 News at 4, 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m.
He was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and has worked and lived in Illinois, Missouri, Virginia and Tennessee before arriving in Michigan

For nearly nine years, he was the morning meteorologist on Fox 2's News Morning.
Ben is a graduate of the University of Missouri -- twice. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science.
He began his broadcast career working at a radio station while still in high school. For more than 20 years, he has worked in broadcasting including commercial and public radio, and television news and weather. He holds seals of approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
His family has Detroit roots since before World War II when his great-grandfather moved to the city nearly 90 years ago.
He is an instrument rated private pilot and huge college football and basketball fan. Poker and researching his family history also keeps him busy in his off time.
