The bodies of two duck hunters reported missing from Lake St. Clair have been found in Canadian waters, police said.
Police said the bodies of the two men-- a father and his adult son -- were found approximately 4 miles from Seaway Island.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office has identified the men as Timothy Hughes, 59, and Daniel Hughes, 24.
The younger Hughes was found around 9 a.m. Sunday, while the older man's body was found around noon.
The father and son had left their home in Jackson County around 5 a.m. Saturday.
They were going on a duck hunting trip on Lake St. Clair and were expected to return home later that day.
When they didn't show up, family members reported them missing.
The Macomb County's marine division, and the U.S. and Canadian coast guards started searching for the missing pair.
Police found their pickup truck and boat trailer at the Lake St. Clair Metropark boat launch.
A relative, Stacey Hughes, wrote this post on Facebook:
"It was not the happy rescue we were praying for. We have lost a husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle. Our worlds have been shook and we're not sure what this means for us. But we do know that we have each other, we have an amazing support system and we have a Lord that will surround us in comfort”
The cause of death is unknown.
