SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A body was found Monday night near a gravel pit on the northeast side of East Auburn and Dequindre roads in Shelby Township.
Shelby Township police said the body was found about 9:30 p.m. Monday by ATV riders. The gravel pit is located at Hixson and Barclay avenues.

They have identified the body as a Rochester Hills man who had been missing since Feb. 2.
Police are conducting a death investigation in conjunction with the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.
The Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office will work to determine a cause of death.
