Boil water advisory canceled in Rochester Hills

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – A boil water advisory for Rochester Hills residents has been canceled. 

Bacterial contamination may have occurred in Rochester Hills water system following a drop in pressure in the Great Lakes Water Authority water supply, according to a Sunday news release from the city that called for some people in some areas to boil the water before using it.

The boil water advisory was canceled Monday.

The city released this statement:

The GLWA Water Quality Division has lifted the boil water advisory. Water testing results returned appropriate chlorine levels and no bacteria was evident. Please share with your neighbors and friends.
