DETROIT – A woman's body was found Tuesday dumped behind a closed school building at Davison and Patton Street on Detroit's west side.
Two men made the discovery. as they were walking to a nearby store. Detroit police were called about 1:30 p.m.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman as 33-year-old resident Jessica Burner. A cause of death is still pending.
The victim was full dressed but there were no shoes on her body.
The men who found the body said they were horrified when they got closer and realized what they had found.
"We were just walking to the store and we found this lady over by some garbage and we checked to see if she was alright, and there was no breathing, no pulse. She was stiff and we called 911," one of the men told Local 4. "I've been freaking out."
