Cause of odor at Detroit's Cass Tech High School identified

DETROIT – The cause of an odor that led to an early dismissal at Detroit's Cass Tech High School was identified Thursday.

According to school officials, the smell was caused by a failed light bulb and ballast in the Auxiliary Gymnasium.

Repairs were underway Thursday evening, and the school will be open Friday.
