WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two coyotes were removed from a Washington Township home Sunday night after a man found the animals in his basement.
John Osborne said the sound of glass breaking at his condominium near 27 Mile and Campground roads woke him up late Sunday night.

The 71-year-old man said he went into his basement, where he found a ground-level window had been broken and a few items were scattered on the ground.
He saw an animal curled up next to an artificial tree that had been knocked over, and he got out of the basement and called 911.
Animal control officials dragged the coyote out of the home and released it onto the Glacier Club golf course behind the home.
But when Osborne went back down in the basement, the coyote was still there.
Animal control returned and dragged the second coyote out of the home and released it onto the golf course.
Officials said the coyotes each weighed around 45 pounds.
