DETROIT – Detroit police have arrested a person in connection to the hit-and-run which killed two people Friday night.
Wayne Sanders, 56, and an unidentified middle-aged woman both died from their injuries after being struck by a vehicle about 10 p.m. while crossing Meyers at the corner of McNichols Road.
Witnesses say a light colored Pontiac Grand AM was traveling northbound on Meyers when the driver struck both pedestrians. The driver fled.
Police have been searching for the driver of the vehicle.
