Lucky ticket sold at Taylor gas station

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket at the Marathon gas station, located at 8350 Telegraph Road in Taylor.

“When I scratched the ticket off, my first thought was: ‘OK, what did I do wrong?’” said the player. “I skipped work that morning and waited for the Lottery office to open so I could call and see what was going on. Once I talked to the Lottery and confirmed the ticket was worth $1 million, I was stunned.

“Even sitting here, it all still seems so surreal,” the player said Monday when claiming her prize at Lottery headquarters.

The player choose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000 rather than an annuity. With her winnings, she plans to complete some home repairs, take a cruise to Alaska, and then invest the remainder.

“Winning has given me a better outlook on life. I feel more secure than I did yesterday and my future seems so much brighter,” the player said.
Players have won nearly $32 million playing Lucky 7’s Multiplier, which launched in January. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $35 million in prizes remain, including two $1 million top prizes, 13 $17,000 prizes, 62 $7,000 prizes, and 120 $1,777 prizes.
