DETROIT – The estranged wife of a man that was shot and killed over the weekend in Detroit was charged Thursday.
Auroniece Jackson, 32, of Detroit, was charged with first degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm.

Toney Lynn-Antonio Mason was shot on Greenlawn Street near Puritan Avenue on Friday. He was 32.
According to family, Mason had been playing with his children at the park earlier in the day. When he returned, it is alleged that Mason had a verbal argument with Jackson.
Mason refused to let the three children go with the mother. He put the kids in his girlfriend’s truck and he was shot at point blank range in front of the children.
Jackson was arraigned before Magistrate Bari Blake Wood. A probable cause conference is scheduled for May 9 at 1 p.m.
