DETROIT – Former Michigan State University basketball player Mateen Cleaves has been named in a sexual assault investigation in Genesee County.
The investigation has been handed over to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, from the prosecutor in Genesee County.
Cleaves' attorney calls it a private matter.
No charges have been filed.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing it at this time.
