DETROIT – Greektown Casino Hotel is getting a new name.
Rock Gaming LLC announced Tuesday a rebranding effort of all its casino properties, under its new name -- Jack Entertainment.

Greektown Casino Hotel will be renamed "Jack Casino Hotel Detroit Greektown" -- the transition will take place in late 2016.
The Dan Gilbert owned company purchased Greektown in 2013, and now owns three total casinos, including two in Ohio.
Greektown Casino originally opened in 2000, with the hotel being opened in 2009.
The rebranding will cost about $40 million.
A video was released with the announcement explaining what the new branding stands for.
