Holly police: Woman stabs man during argument

19-year-old woman faces felonious assault charge after allegedly stabbing 18-year-old man in Holly

HOLLY, Mich. – A 19-year-old woman is accused of stabbing a Holly man on Feb. 4 at the Hawaiian Gardens Mobile Home Park on Grange Hall Road.

Police say Rose Joy Major stabbed an 18-year-old man during an argument. Officers searched through the night and into the next day for Major who had fled the area on foot.

They found her the next day hiding in a nearby vacant house.

She was arrested and faces one count of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon. She was arraigned Feb. 6 and is being held at the Oakland County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

If convicted, Major could face up to four years in prison.

The victim suffered one stab wound and was taken to Genesys Regional Medical Center. He is expected to fully recover.
