Innocent driver killed by fleeing suspects in Brownstown Township identified

Crash involved 4 vehicles

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An innocent 27-year-old woman killed in a police chase that ended in Brownstown Township Tuesday has been identified.

Nicole Ann Cutting, of Trenton, was killed in the crash.

The crash happened in the area of Dix Highway and Allen Road at about 5 p.m.

Woodhaven police were pursuing a black 2005 Ford pickup truck heading northbound on Dix-Toledo Road when the truck turned onto Allen Road and ran a stop sign, according to authorities. The truck struck a gold 2012 Chevy, which was pushed into two other vehicles.

Cutting was driving the Chevy and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The chase began after a complaint of retail fraud and parole violations, according to police.

The driver of the pickup was arrested and taken to the Detroit Detention Center before he was picked up by the Michigan Department of Corrections for parole violations.

Michigan State Police are investigating.
