DETROIT – Little Caesars is set to break ground this summer on new world headquarters in downtown Detroit.
The pizza company released a rendering Wednesday morning of the planned 234,000-square-foot, 9-story building at Woodward Avenue and Columbia Street -- which is across from Comerica Park, the home of the Detroit Tigers, and near Little Caesars Arena, the new home of the Detroit Red Wings that's under construction.

The new headquarters campus will be double the size of the current one and will feature a "first-of-its-kind" facade, the company said. It will include 14-foot tall pizza slice glass shapes.
The headquarters campus will also include a 2-story lobby, meeting rooms, a work cafe, pantries, a 425-seat training room, screening room, fitness center and other dining and retail.
The company said work on the headquarters will bring up to 700 high-skilled jobs to the city.
It will also be the city's first newly constructed corporate headquarters building in more than a decade, and only the seventh since 1950, the company said.
Olympia Development of Michigan has selected Detroit-based Brinker-Christman as the construction manager. and Detroit-based SmithGroupJJR is the architect of record.
The company first announced in 2014 that it would be expanding in the city.

Mike and Marian Ilitch confounded Little Caesars in 1959 and bought the Red Wings in 1982. Mike Ilitch bought the Tigers in 1992.
