Alvin Link so believes in Donald Trump for president a standard campaign sign was not going to cut it.
The 89 year old WWII vet was a seaman who spent the war in the pacific and has an eye for color and design. He got out his tools and paint in his garage and fashioned a life size Captain America out of plywood and put Trump’s head on it.
It’s all freehand painting and by the time I get it done I’ve got about 43 hours invested in it,” Link said.
Captain America was prominently displayed on the lawn until he got stolen overnight. “My wife, she got up around 8am and she says Captain America is gone.”
He sure was. Mr. Link reported the theft to the Livonia Police Department and his homeowner’s insurance and he’s already got a replacement made and several others in process in the garage.
“At least if I’m out in the garage working on another Captain America the wife knows where I am; she knows I’m not out on the streets or in the pool rooms getting into trouble.”
