Farmington Hills boil water notice no longer in effect; Livonia still under notice

No description found

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A precautionary boil water notice issued Saturday for parts of Farmington Hills has ended.

The notice was issued after a power failure at the Great Lakes Water Authority booster station. This caused a drop in pressure in the water supply which may have caused bacterial contamination.

It affected the area from 8 Mile Road to 9 Mile Road between Haggerty and Drake roads in Farmington Hills.

A boil water notice for the entire city of Livonia remains in effect. Officials said they anticipate resolving the problem in Livonia by Tuesday.

Livonia residents will be advised when the boil water advisory has been lifted, city officials said.
