FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A 22-year-old motorcyclist from West Bloomfield Township was killed in a car crash on Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills.
The crash occurred on Monday (May 5) at 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Northwestern Highway and 14 Mile Road.

The Farmington Hills Police Department paramedics responded to the area after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting the crash.
FHPD said when officers arrived, they located the motorcycle rider and began to provide first aid until the medics arrived and took over care.
Farmington Hills firefighter/paramedics transported the motorcycle rider to Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The FHPD Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Preliminary findings are ongoing; however, excessive speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash.
The driver of the car was not injured and cooperated with investigators.
