Citywide initiative launches June 12

DETROIT – “Occupy the Summer” kicks off on Friday, June 12.

It’s a citywide initiative designed to keep young people engaged, active and safe this summer. It includes extended hours at the recreation center and activities for teens on Fridays.

Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield joined Local 4 Live to talk about the initiative.
