Man arrested, charged in connection to 9-month-old's death in Detroit

DETROIT – Sources tell Local 4 that a 9-month-old girl died Friday from injuries consistent with being struck in the head.

Autumn Robinson was found unresponsive in the basement by her mother Friday morning in the 2000 block of Morrell Street in Detroit, the source said. The mother performed CPR and called 911. Officials shocked the child and took her to Children's Hospital.

No description found

Autumn was listed in critical condition. She died in the hospital.

The mother's boyfriend, Emmanuel Hatchett, was arrested and charged with first-degree child abuse and felony murder. He was arraigned over the weekend and is being held in the Wayne County Jail pending further charges.

The baby's bruising was consistent to injuries from being struck in the right side of the head. The medical examiner ruled Autumn died from blunt force trauma to the head.

The case is still under investigation.
