CENTER LINE, Mich. – A man was killed and a woman was injured Wednesday when a pickup truck rolled over and was set on fire by electrical wires that broke away from a pole.

Two officers and a resident pulled a woman safely from the truck. Police said they tried to rescue a man from the truck, but the flames overcame him and he was killed.

The truck fire was extinguished and the electrical wires were neutralized, police said.

The woman was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating the incident.
