DETROIT – A 21-year-old man was shot and killed at about 9:30 p.m. Monday while walking along Van Dyke Avenue near Outer Drive in Detroit.
It's another shooting death with no apparent reason behind it. Devin Guidry's family said he had no enemies.
His killers made off with his glasses and shoes.
"He was walking down the street and some guys walked up behind him, (he was with) his cousin, and shot him in the back of his head and took his glasses and his flip flops," said Guidry's mother.
His family is struggling to figure out why this could happen to their son.
"He was the baby of the family," his mother said. "He was very intelligent. He was good with his hands, making things. And he could fix things. He was an intelligent young man, yes he was."
Now the family hopes someone comes forward with information about his death.
"If you know something, just tell someone," his mother said. "I know somebody's seen something and somebody knows something."
