We're approaching warmer months in Michigan, or as some call it, orange barrel season.
The Michigan Department of Transportation released a full map and list of upcoming minor and major road projects happening this year.

The biggest 2017 project has already started, as I-75 southbound is closed between Detroit and Downriver for the next two years.
Here are some of the notable projects happening in the Grand Rapids area:
- M-6: June-Nov: Repairs and rebuild 3 miles from Jackson St east to Wilson Ave. Closed and detoured.
- US-131: May-Aug: Concrete joint work 11.7 miles from 76th St to 44th St, and from North Park St to 10 Mile Rd. Nightly lane closures.
- M-44: Sept-Nov: Resurface 2.8 miles from I-96 to 3 Mile Rd. Nightly lane closures.
- I-94: Apr-June: Repave 7.4 miles eastbound lanes from Sprinkle Rd to 40th St in Kalamazoo.
