Three Michigan congressmen were at the GOP charity baseball team practice Wednesday morning in Virginia when a lone gunman reportedly opened fire on the members of Congress. 

Michigan congressman Mike Bishop (8th District), Jack Bergman (1st District) and John Moolenar (4th District) all were at the practice. ClickOnDetroit has confirmed Bishop, Bergman and Moolenaar all are safe.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R) of Louisiana's 1st congressional district and current House of Representatives Majority Whip was shot. He was shot in the hip and is listed in stable condition. Several other people including two law enforcement officers were shot, too, according to reports. 

The gunman has been taken into custody. 

Bishop tweeted Wednesday morning about a "loan gunman" opening fire on members of Congress and security during the charity baseball practice. The congressmen were practicing for the charity game which is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. when someone started firing at the members of Congress.
