Missing lottery winner from Detroit found dead

Autopsy: Arthur Neal died from stab wounds

DETROIT – An 86-year-old Detroit man who went missing after winning thousands of dollars in the lottery has been found dead.

Local 4 has learned that Arthur Weldon Neal Jr.'s body was found over the weekend in a vacant house in the 15000 block of Mansfield Street. According to an autopsy report, he died from multiple stab wounds.

Neal was reported missing after disappearing Dec. 20 from his home in the 17200 block of Trinity Street.

Police are working to find out if Neal's winning $20,000 check was ever cashed.
