For the Love Oof Sugar will also provide special cake creations for weddings, birthdays and other events.
"(Owner Manal Hussein) utilizes a creative and interactive approach to baking for her customers' unique needs," Richard Broder of Broder & Sachse Real Estate said. "Her artistic vision for the bakery is one that perfectly reflects the attention to detail, careful craftsmanship and exceptional customer service we are delivering at The Scott."
The bakery is the second restaurant announced at The Scott in Midtown, after an American-style bistro.
"The Scott has set the standard of excellence in the Brush Park area, and I feel my bakery is the perfect fit to complement the building, its tenants and the Brush Park community," Hussein said. "My location will serve as a relaxing dessert and coffee establishment, where guests can enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake, as well as grab a quick breakfast or lunch item on the go."
Hussein said she plans to hire eight to 10 people to fill open jobs at the bakery. Positions include baristas, bakers and cake designers.
