EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A 68-year-old Eastpointe woman was killed early Tuesday morning when her home caught fire.
The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. in the 23000 block of Lexington Avenue, which is north of 9 Mile Road between Gratiot Avenue and Kelly Road.
The woman was rushed to a hospital, but pronounced dead.
Firefighters on the scene told Local 4 the cause of the fire is still being determined, but it does not appear suspicious.
