Plymouth man drove to Pennsylvania 5 times to stalk teen he met online, police say

Michael Leib, 30, charged with stalking, harassment

DETROIT – A Plymouth man has been arrested, and police said he’s accused of stalking an 18-year-old girl he met online, investigators in Pennsylvania said Friday.

Michael Leib, 30, drove from his home to the teen’s house and tried to contact her. He was upset she had ignored his advances on social media, police said.

Leib is now charged with several counts of stalking and harassment.

The teenage victim has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. Leib made the nine-hour drive from Michigan to Pennsylvania at least five times, according to published reports.

Investigators are waiting for a search warrant to search Leib's car. He's being held on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday.
