Police say body found in barrel is missing Warren woman

22-year-old Theresa DeKeyzer has been missing since June

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Warren police say the body of 22-year-old Theresa DeKeyzer was found Thursday night inside a 55-gallon barrel which was covered by cement.

Police Commissioner Jere Green said two tips led them to Travel Trailer Storage in Plymouth Township.

"Common sense tells you it is Theresa, but she hasn't been identified yet. She's at the morgue right now," said Green.

Green later said they identified the body as DeKeyzer because of the clothes she was wearing, an earing she was wearing and a tattoo. Police are still waiting for autopsy results. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office will compare dental records to confirm the identification on Saturday.

Police consider DeKeyzer's boyfriend, Scott Wobbe (click to view image), a suspect in her death. He is being held on drug charges in Midland County.

"There's no question that he's connected with the storage facility and the trailer that was left there," said Green.

Wobbe allegedly was the last person to see DeKeyzer on June 16. The couple had gotten into a fight the night before, according to police. DeKeyzer has been missing ever since.

Now, the man who police thought was linked to her disappearance may be linked to her murder.

"It was quite disturbing to see a 22-year-old young gal stuffed in a 55-gallon drum with cement poured over her in the fetal position," said Green.

Warren police plan to question Wobbe. Green said he and investigators will travel to Midland County on Saturday. They also are looking to interview three other people who they believe may have helped Wobbe get the trailer and the barrel.
