CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Clinton Township Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a man early Thursday morning.
The accident happened just after 2 a.m. on Garfield Road between 17 and 18 mile roads.
Police say the pedestrian was hit by a car that fled the scene northbound on Garfield Road. Shortly after, he was hit by a second vehicle that stopped at the scene and called police. The victim is identified as a 38 year-old man from Clinton Township.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the hit-and-run driver. Anyone who saw anything, or sees a car with front-end damage or damage to the windshield should call Clinton Township Police at 586-493-7894.
Garfield Road is currently closed in both directions from 17 Mile Road to Terra Bella Street.
