Police: Violent road rage incident unfolds in Sterling Heights

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A suspect who has not been publicly identified left their pickup truck to assault someone on Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to authorities, the suspect made a vulgar gesture at the victim shortly after cutting him off on Utica Road.

Stopping at Miller's Orchard on Clinton River Road, the victim confronted the driver over his actions, when the suspect exited his vehicle and hit the victim twice in the face, police said.

A witness at the scene caught the license plate of the pickup truck, and police officers arrested the suspect at his residence.
