DETROIT – A Head Start program on Detroit’s east side was briefly evacuated Tuesday morning due to a bomb threat.

The Mt. Zion Head Start on East McNichols Road was evacuated and the all clear has been given.

A bomb squad was at the scene with K-9 units.

Authorities are asking parents to pick up their children.

Regular operation at the facility will continue as usual. 

Another Head Start program on Detroit's east side was evacuated Tuesday morning. It is unclear if the circumstance are related.
