DETROIT – Crews had to clean up a hazmat situation early Wednesday morning in downtown Detroit when a transformer leaked after being hit by a semi-truck.
The accident happened on Fort Street in front of the post office, which is between Trumbull Avenue and 8th Street.

The semi-truck brought down three power lines and the transformer.
No injuries were reported.
Crews had the immediate block closed off for the clean up.
