DETROIT – An arrest has been made in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in a park on Detroit's west side, said police.
The girl, a Henry Ford High School student, was grabbed by a man Wednesday morning in O'Hair Park as she walked to school.
Sources say the teen was walking alone to school because her usual walking partner had been killed the night before when a van struck her on 8 Mile Road at Evergreen Road.

Police say the man they have arrested also is suspected in the attempted abduction of a young boy in the same area on Wednesday.
"We're saying he's a person of interest," said Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt. "I believe we have the right person."
Description of attacker:
The attacker was described as a black man standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a ski mask, black hoodie, and blue basketball shorts with a gray stripe. He has light brown eyes and was clean shaven. Police believe he is about 22 years old.
Authorities said Saturday that the man will be arraigned on Sunday.
Anyone with information on this sexual assault and/or the man shown in the sketch needs to contact Detroit police at 313-596-1950 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
