DETROIT – Tech giant Microsoft is set to open an office in Downtown Detroit.
Dan Gilbert and Bedrock, along with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan are set to make the big announcement Friday morning at the One Campus Martius building.

Sources say the announcement will pertain to Microsoft's new office in Detroit.
It is unclear if Microsoft is moving an office to Detroit, or opening a completely new one.

Microsoft employees have increased from 61,000 in 2005 to 118,000 in 2015, according to Statista.
