CLINTON TOWSHIP, Mich. – A Michigan State Police trooper is charged with being super drunk and leaving the scene of a crash into a house back in October.
The trooper, who will not be named until he is arraigned on the charges, is accused of being drunk when his vehicle crashed into a house about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 17 in Clinton Township. Witnesses said he drove away from the scene covered in blood.

Clinton Township police caught up with him at Garfield and 16 Mile roads. At the time, police said they would subpoena the trooper for a blood test in the hospital.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 2.
In Michigan, the Super Drunk OWI offense is for those who operate a motor vehicle on public roadways and are found to have a BAC (blood alcohol content) of 0.17 percent or higher.
