DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – A Dearborn Heights dealership owners is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in a costly vandalism act that left dozens of cars damaged.
La Marina Auto Sales owner Gus Farias said a group of teens went on a rampage at his dealership Easter night, smashing car windows with cinder blocks and kicking down car mirrors.
"It was a mess. A mess everywhere. Glass everywhere. It seemed like a hurricane," Farias said.
The vandalism was caught on surveillance cameras. The video shows the teens even taking time to pull out their cellphones and record the crime.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it gets to Instagram or something like that," Farias said.
The teens rampage lasted more than 20 minutes.
Farias said they caused almost $10,000 in damage.
"It's too much energy wasted. Too much energy wasted. The guys are 18, 19 at the most. They could have done something else on Easter than spending time doing that," Farias said.
