The officer was not injured.
The Taser did not belong to the officer. Detroit police officers do not carry Tasers right now. However, electronic control weapons, or Tasers, were approved for Detroit police officers in May. The Board of Detroit Police Commissioners unanimously approved them after Chief James Craig's request.
