The Michigan Wolverines held strong at No. 3 in this week's College Football Playoff rankings after a close win at home against Indiana.
This is Michigan's fourth straight week as the No. 3 team in the poll. The Wolverines trailed Indiana in the third quarter before riding De'Veon Smith to a 20-10 victory.

Michigan also looked shaky on offense without starting quarterback Wilton Speight. It's unclear if Speight will return in time for Michigan's game Saturday against Ohio State in Columbus.

The Buckeyes are still ranked No. 2 behind undefeated Alabama.
Michigan is the only team in the country with wins over three of the top 10 teams in the country -- No. 6 Wisconsin, No. 7 Penn State and No. 9 Colorado.

Nebraska is the fifth and final Big Ten team in the poll, checking in at No. 16.
Western Michigan, which crushed Buffalo Saturday to remain unbeaten, stay at No. 21 in the rankings. The Broncos face a tough home test against 9-2 Toledo this week. With a win, they would qualify for the Mid-American Conference title game and likely earn a chance to play in a New Year's Six bowl game.
